Perth classified as "regional"

Since 12 September 2011, Perth is classified as "regional" under the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) and the regional General Skilled Migration program.

For the RSMS, this means that workers and employers in Perth have now a new visa option. This could open up some opportunities for all workers/employers who were not eligible under the employer nomination scheme (ENS) as the eligibility conditions of the RSMS are less stringent than the ENS.
